We had a fabulous opening party at our new caffe in Cardiff on Thursday night to celebrate our arrival in Wales, and in spite of the rain, our guests came early, stayed late and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The new caffe, which is in the Library building of the St. David's Centre, is a beautiful site in a fantastic location and it looks gorgeous.  Facing onto Mill Lane, which is the restaurant quarter of central Cardiff, we are a short walk from the main train station and right opposite the Marriott Hotel.  We have a delightful outside seating area, which was occupied by our hog roaster on party night - a local pig, roasted to a turn, carved and served in our freshly made focaccia bread with rocket salad and onion marmalade.

The people of Cardiff turned out in force, filling the caffe to bursting, and clearly loved our Bellinis, Prosecco and delicious Italian canapes.  One local blogger Tweeted the entire canape menu whilst she was there!  It was great for us to hear so many nice compliments about the site, the food and our lovely Cardiff team who worked really hard on the night to make it such a success.
