Trentino Alto Adige

This landlocked Alpine region in north-east Italy is bordered by Lombardy and Veneto to the south, and Austria and Switzerland to the north. Trentino and Alto Adige were once separate regions and they have retained some of their own culinary characteristics. The cooking of Trentino is similar to that of Veneto, while Alto Adige is more Austrian and Middle European in flavour.
