There is much to do in Sheffield whether you are interested in local history or modern culture.

Sheffield derives its name from the River Sheaf; the river runs directly past Sheffield Castle where Mary Queen of Scotts was held prisoner by Queen Elizabeth I.

Today it is a blossoming city, with its vibrant student population, an up and coming music scene, home to musicians such as the Arctic Monkeys and the legendry Joe Cocker.
