Cambridge is the home of one of the world’s premier Universities, which is still a major landowner in the City and owns both the Cambridge Science Park, and the Port of Felixstowe. The colleges of Cambridge University have educated many a famous name including Stephen Fry and AA Milne – creator of Winnie the Pooh – Stephen Hawking and Sacha Baron Cohen AKA Ali G!
Much of the surrounding area is known as Silicon Fen, due to the saturation of businesses in the area whose focus is Software, Electronics and Biotechnology, recent estimates state that up to 3,500 companies are related to these businesses
Recently, Cambridge has contributed some great names in the music world, including Pink Floyd and Matthew Bellamy, of Muse and Olivia Newton –John were both born in the city.
