My first job role with Carluccio's was as Kitchen Porter in the very first Carluccio's in Market Place. As the company and my skills grew, I progressed in my career until I promoted to the position of Sous chef.  Little did I know then that one day I would become an Area Head Chef, as all I wanted to focus on was great food and having a great team of chefs working with me.

An early highlight in my career was being asked to attend the very first Cook School at Westminster Kingsway College which was very exciting. Looking back, the skills I learnt then have helped me progress my career further as well as enabling me to pass these skills on to new chefs.

I have always loved training and mentoring new chefs and Managers and I have lost count of the number of people I have been lucky enough to help and train. It still gives me a buzz when a chef learns something new and then goes on to be successful.

There is never a dull moment, as I have opened 6 Caffe's throughout the UK and also helped our franchise partners in Dublin and Dubai.

My current role as Area Head Chef is the most stimulating yet as no day or week is ever the same. I love mentoring new chefs and helping them deliver high quality fresh food whilst successfully running a busy kitchen. It's the people who work at Carluccio's that make the company unique.  It's like a family all working towards the same goals, from the Directors to the Managers to the Chefs.

The great thing is that now I get to help teach the chefs at Cook School... Who knows what's in store for the future? I look forward to it.
