Surrey’s is an affluent and successful county helped by its proximity to London and the abundance of commuter towns. It is also reported that more millionaires live in Surrey than anywhere else in the UK!

Surrey is also noted for the signing of the Magna Carta, the final resting place of Lewis Caroll, and the first landing site of the Martians according to The War of The Worlds!!
Wine lovers will also be interested to know that there has been wine production in the county since as early as 100AD. This is a tradition that continues today at the UK’s largest single estate vineyard based in Dorking.

Carluccio’s already has 5 Caffe’s in Surrey, all with their own distinctive feel and look, and we have plans to make it 6, with a new site opening in Wimbledon in early 2010.

In 2008, after some major archeologic excavations, and re-development Highcross was reborn as a major retail, and leisure destination, and also the home of Carluccio’s in Leicester.
