A delicious fresh-tasting pesto from Liguria, made following the traditional recipe in Genovese. This recipe includes young leaves of local fresh basil, pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil and Pecorino cheese. This sauce goes perfectly with Trofie pasta or other thin pastas.

Ingredients

Genovese basil DOP (50%), extra virgin olive oil, pecorino cheese (sheep milk, salt and rennet), garlic, pine nuts, salt. Contains no artificial additives or preservatives.

Contains milk and nuts. May contain traces of eggs.

Store upright in a cool, dark place. Once opened, store in the refrigerator covered with oil and consume within 3 days.

How to

Take a generous serving (a large spoonful) of your pesto, and mix well with a freshly-cooked hot pasta - we recommend our Trofie.

Alternatively, it can be served cold in a pasta salad with green beans, shaved parmesan and extra virgin olive oil.
