On the evening of Wednesday 6th November 2019 we opened our kitchens for an exclusive all-star chef Italian dinner in aid of The Antonio Carluccio Foundation, with all proceeds raised going to humanitarian charity, Action Against Hunger.
The dinner’s stellar line-up included some of the late Antonio’s closest chef friends, including his ‘partner in crime’ and co-star of the BBC’s ‘Two Greedy Italians’, Gennaro Contaldo; Giorgio Locatelli of the Michelin-starred Locanda Locatelli; Danilo Cortellini, head chef at London’s Italian Embassy; and Carluccio’s long-standing Executive Chef for over 20 years, Eric Chauvet.
Alongside dinner guests were invited to take part in our auction. On offer were an array of amazing lots including money-can’t-buy experiences like a day in the kitchen with Giorgio Locatelli, as well as some of Antonio’s personal possessions, such as his hand carved Whittling Stick and Poppy and Butterfly Painting, painted by Antonio himself.
