Start your journey in Piemonte, with a Dolcetto d’Alba that works brilliantly with some of Piemonte’s favourite produce, Mushrooms.

Head down into Tuscany for a classic Chianti, then we make our way to central Italy with a light and easy drinking red from Molise and warm and spicy red from Lazio.

On to the south and Puglia, with a stunning looking and elegant & medium bodied organic red. Finally we hop on a boat ride around the South Coast to Sicilia, and the famous vineyards of Planeta. Save this one for Christmas Day.

2016 Biferno Rosso Riserva DOC, Palladino, 75cl (13.5%) – Plush, easy-drinking red from central Italy, a fragrance of blueberries with a warm underlay of spice followed by a mouthful of damson jam and plum cake. MOLISE

Chianti DOCG, Castellani. 75cl (12.5%) – Quintessential Chianti, a blend of cherries and loamy earth, prettily perfumed by violets. TUSCANY

2020 De Notari Cesanese IGT, San Marco, 75cl (13.5%) – A fine example of Cesanese, a red grape from Italy’s Lazio region, near Rome, full of vanilla and strawberry jam, with a luscious hit of red plum on the tongue. LAZIO

Primitivo IGT Puglia Organic, Varvaglione, 75cl (12.5%) – Intense Primitivo from southern Italy, lush with blackberries and currants and elegantly perfumed with nutmeg, chocolate, liquorice and vanilla.

Plumbago, Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC, Planeta, 75cl (13.5%) – Named for a pretty, purple Sicilian flower, this is a pretty, purple wine, its aromas of ripe plums, wild blackberries and jasmine surpassed in the mouth by chocolate, forest floor and black truffle.
