Italian Wine Journey – Il Rosso

Take a journey through the regions of Italy in the form of wine. 

We have chosen 6 wines from from bountiful wine making regions, with classic wines and grape varieties that will make a stunning gift for the wine lover in your life…

Starting in the very North of Italy in Trento Alto-Adige from Alois Lageder a stunning Pinot Noir, staying north, moving west through Piemonte and the historic Enrico Serafino, Dolcetto d’Alba, then down into Tuscany with what else but a Chianti Classico, chosen from the vineyards of Castellare. Then moving into the neighbouring region of Umbria, we have a comforting Sangiovese from Tenute Lunelli. 

Then we head South, to the heal of the boot, Puglia. We have chosen an organic Nero d’Avola from Zensa, which literally translates to “without”. A reference to their wine making philosophy of fully organic with as little human interference as possible. Then across the water to Sicily and iconic producers, Planeta. We have chosen their Plumbago, another Nero d’avola that provides an earthy red to palate.
