A traditional Italian brandy, produced since 1820. This black-labelled version is made in Bologna from reserves laid down in the 1950s. Aged for 3 years in oak with a smooth mellow flavour, with hints of wood, vanilla and caramel.
Emilia-Romagna is the North-Eastern region of Italy that is split into two areas, ‘Emilia’ & ‘Romagna’. It's capital and largest city is Bologna, which is famous for its beautiful buildings, architecture and churches. which has all been left behind by the Romans. To add to its rich Roman history, there is also the oldest university in the world - The University of Bologna founded in 1088. Covered by the Po Plain, and dominated by Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini. However, Emilia-Romagna is also the birth place of some of the most traditional and well-known Italian foods. Parma prosciutto ham, balsamic vinegar and Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) have become some of the most iconic of Italian cuisine.
