Fig Jam from our original producer, dating back 25 years.
Figs picked at the ultimate point of ripeness in the orchards of our producers farm in Alba. Within hours of harvest they are simply cooked in a pot with the sole addition of cane sugar, a simple and ancient method that enhances the wonderful flavour of the figs.
155g grams of figs are used to obtain every 100g of this splendid jam.
This versatile preserve makes a stunning breakfast spread with croissant, fresh bread or toast, brings sweetness to a cheese board pairing well with sheep or goats cheeses. Try on a pizza, like our menu, with goats cheese.

Piemonte
Moving away from the cities, Piedmont is known for its connection to the Alps. Almost half of the region is covered by mountains, making it one of Italy’s top skiing destinations. The geography of the region generates great agricultural farm land and it is best known for its grapes and wine production. Barolo and Barbaresco red wines are made from the Nebbiolo grape, and the sparkling Asti Spumante comes from the Moscato grape.
Besides wine, the region also produces a vast amount of Italian risotto rice. Arborio, Carnaroli and 11 other varieties of rice are grown in paddy fields, irrigated by river water.
